Art & Merchandise Sales

These are fundraisers that are utilized not only to raise funds, but to invite more people to the Project Esperanza family and to creatively engage people over time in making a difference.

Art sales help raise money for the artists as well as for our kids' programs. One of Wendy Josef's paintings is pictured above.

 Original Haitian Artwork

We have partnered with Wendy Joseph, a socially entrepreneural Haitian artist living in the Dominican Republic. He provides our project with artwork to sell in the U.S. as a fundraiser - proceeds go to P.E.'s programs as well as to the artist. We also often purchase metalwork from other artists to sell. Anyone wishing to support our project through purchasing unique caribbean artwork can send an e-mail to:

T-Shirts (and other merchandise).

Designed by Virginia Tech students, our t-shirts have been one of our most popular forms of fundraising. They are available to purchase at most of our fundraisers, (occasionally) in the Blacksburg stores of Homebody and Clothes Rack (located on Main Street), in local festivals, and by request. Made of super-soft material from Alternative Apparel, they carry designs that combine message and style.

We have also added merchandise like Project Esperanza hats, sweatshirts, long-sleeve shirts, and even greeting cards. All funds raised from our sales go directly to our projects in the Dominican Republic.
