In Puerto Plata, we are currently working with the Haitian immigrant population. This population has very limited employment and educational opportunity but demonstrates great resiliency and potential when provided with opportunities.
Boys Home
Some of these boys are now living in our home and receiving education.
Grassroot Schools
We support three schools that provide Haitian immigrant children with a chance for education they might never have otherwise. We provide teacher salaries, books, and materials.
Soccer
Haitian street kids run their own soccer team that plays other local teams.
Volunteer Trips
Project Esperanza student volunteers have taken summer, spring break, and winter trips to the Dominican Republic.
